From 15 to 17 November 2025, the places dear to Tonino Guerra will welcome Aleksandr Sokurov, master of world cinema, as the protagonist of the new edition of the Tonino Guerra Award.
Three days of meetings, masterclasses and screenings dedicated to his poetic gaze and reflection on the relationship between cinema, memory and landscape.

The Tonino Guerra 2025 Award, chaired by Laura Delli Colli and established by Andrea Guerra, President of the Tonino Guerra Study Centre Museum, will be awarded to Sokurov, author of works of extraordinary depth that have marked the history of contemporary cinema.
Over the years, the award has honoured internationally renowned artists such as Werner Herzog, Marco Tullio Giordana and Carmen Yáñez.

15 NOVEMBER - C'entro Supercinema, Santarcangelo di Romagna
- 5:00 p.m. - Masterclass by Aleksandr Sokurov
The director meets the audience to talk about his vision of cinema and the value of memory in contemporary times.
- 6:00 p.m. - Official Tonino Guerra 2025 Award ceremony
- 6:30 p.m. - Screening: "Moscow Elegy" (1987, 88')
A documentary dedicated to Andrej Tarkovskij and Tonino Guerra.

16 NOVEMBER - Tonino Guerra Association, Pennabilli
- 5:00 p.m. - Masterclass by Aleksandr Sokurov
Meeting with the public in the presence of the Tonino Guerra Association Scientific Committee.
- 6:00 p.m. - Screening: "Maria, peasant elegy" (1987, 41')
A poetic portrait of Soviet rural life, the director's first completed work.

17 NOVEMBER - Fulgor Cinema, Rimini
- 5:00 p.m. - Masterclass by Aleksandr Sokurov
A dialogue with the audience on the poetics of images.
- 6:00 p.m. - Screening: "Russian Ark" (2002, 99')
An extraordinary journey into Russian history through a single sequence shot inside the Hermitage.


The path of the Award is intertwined with the discovery of the places of Tonino Guerra's soul, which Sokurov will visit during his stay: the Museum "In the World of Tonino Guerra" in Santarcangelo, the House Museum in Pennabilli and the Fellini Museum in Rimini.

The initiative anticipates the sixth edition of the festival "I Luoghi dell'Anima - Italian Film Festival", scheduled from 10 to 14 December 2025, with a pre-opening event on 9 December.
